progress report

We've collected 415 bags so far!

Founded: 04th Jan 2012

Town or City: Southampton

Areas covered: Curdridge

Curdridge & Curbridge Litterpickers group was founded in 2012, initially as a spin-off from a neighbouring litter group and now with its own volunteers who all want to help to do more about the litter problem in and around the Village.

We now have 25 active volunteers and would always welcome new supporters.

Our aim is to get together every three months and to have a thorough clean of our village.

Curdridge & Curbridge Litterpickers is being backed by Curdridge Parish Council and we form part of their Highways Sub-Committee which has provided some funding for litter-pickers as well as insurance for our activities.

CPRE Hampshire (Campaign to Protect Rural England) has also donated some litter-pickers and fluorescent tabards for all volunteers.

Winchester City Council will donate, on an ongoing basis, black bin sacks and collect our Litter from a designated spot after each LitterPick.
