The fight against litter continued with the Spring Clean around Alveston and Earthcott.   It was lovely to see so many Litter Busters which meant that a large proportion of the area was covered.  This complimented the excellent job done by the Brownies earlier in the week.
The 15 volunteers managed to collect 20 bin bags of litter.  An extra special thank you to everyone for turning up and carrying on despite the soaking drizzle.  It was good to hear positive comments and beeping car horns from passers by, demonstrating that people do care about how our village looks and appreciate the work we are doing.
Afterwards we could relax at The Alveston House Hotel where we had been invited for complimentary tea and delicious biscuits.
